The group Adlus stands for Adventurers Like Us, our take on the vernacular People Like Us or PLUs. Adlus is pronounced "Atlas" after the mythological Greek Titan who held up heaven and earth.

Adlus was started in July 1999 by a bunch of gay adventurers who decided to form a sports group to promote sporting and outdoor activities in the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Trangender) community. To this day, it remains committed to this cause as well as encouraging networking and fellowship among its members and the community.

We are a non-profit group wholly run by volunteers,there are no membership fees and we welcome all to our activities regardless of sexual orientation, nationality, ethnicity, creed, faith or fitness level.

Adlus is made possible only with the contribution and effort of its volunteers and members. We believe in getting members to organise activities that they are passionate in and to get other members involved. As more contributions and activities are organised in this way, there will be more for everyone to enjoy and participate in.
